Irish Open Softball Tournament - August 18th and 19th - University of Limerick
A mixture of 1st and 2nd team Blazzers players entered the recreational section of the IOST.
The pitches were very mucky following days of raining.
We won our first 4 gameson Saturday, but tiredness set in and we lost our last two games.
Our 4&2 Saturday record, along with our tight defense, left us top of our section.
We lost our opening game on Sunday morning to the Mockingbirds, which meant we played the Reservoir Dogs for the last spot in the Plate Quater Finals.
After beating the Dogs, we beat Marlay in the Quater Finals, UCD in the Semi FInals and faced the Galway Tribes in the Final.
It was a close game, but we retained the plate trophy we won last year, winning 6 - 5.
The Dublin Bay Packers won the bowl trophy and BatPak won the Cup.nn

Munster Invitational Softball Tournament - July 14th and 15th - Limerick
12 Blazzers and 2 Homers were one of 9 teams in the competition this year.
After a slow start, we ended up winning 3 of our 6 games on Saturday in occasional heavy showers and thunder.
On Sunday morning, we lost our final 2 group games.
This put us into a 3-way round-robin plate competition.
We lost our opening game against the Base Devils, and Base Devils beat the UL 55's, meaning that the Base Devils took the trophy.

Castleknock Blitz - July 21st - St. Brigids GAA Club
This year Castleknock split the tournament into two sections: the Bearcats and the Wildcats secion.
We were in the Bearcats section, along with Marlay, the Bearcats, the Dogs and the Flyers.
In our first we lost to the Flyers and then beat Marlay.
After lunch we lost to the Bearcats and then beat the Dogs.
This put us on two wins and two losses, joint second with the Flyers.
Since the Flyers beat us, they were put into the final against the Bearcats.
However, all bar 5 of the Flyers had left, and so we joined up with them to play the Bearcats.
After 4 inning we were 6 runs ahead.

Usual Suspects Blitz - Saturday June 15th - St. Marys rugby club
We were entered in the cup competition of this blitz.
Following a win against Oddsox in our first game, we lost to Dodder and Sluggers.
For some reason, that put us in a 2nd-versus-4th semi-final against Oddsox, whom we best again.
This put up into the cup final against the Sluggers.
It was a close game, although we ended up losing by two runs, 7 - 5.nn

Flyers Blitz - Saturday May 19th - ALSAA
8 teams entered.
We beat the Flyers, Usual Suspects and the Dogs in the morning, to put us into the top half for the afternoon.
We then lost to Limerick and Marlay before beating the Dogs again to finish in 3rd.
